Very cozy/quaint Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam Zuid. We got skewers and wagyu beef bowl. Everything was delicious. The place might look humbling but honestly it’s quite pricey… service could also be better (e.g. waiting time). Luckily we could order via our phones so that was convenient.
One of our favorite eating out places in Amsterdam! We go there especially for the skewers - some of our favorites are chicken skin, eel and pork-miso! Must try!!! If you’re there for the first time I would just recommend ordering one of each. And their lemon sour cocktail! The new system where you order through the QR code and even can pay online seems to work well, we received the food at a decent time although the place was almost full.
Imagine yourself in Japan in Amsterdam. very friendly service, authentic interior and tasty dishes. the grilled eggplant is highly recommended.
It was hard for me to choose between 3 and 4 stars. I loved service and drinks, but the menu was pretty expensive. 2-3 years i tried here my first the best ramen ever, i come here again and... It's really sad ramen for the same price as a few years ago. Extremely small choice of ramen, really poor plating. If you add some extra veggies, at least it doesn't cost much, but the plate will look much more "richer."" Skewers are really good but damn expensive. We have to find a new place to try. P.S boullion in ramen was really amazing
We went to this restaurant based on the good reviews and had a decent experience. The restaurant has a Japanese vibe (we lived in Tokyo so can relate), they have cooking station and tables next to it. Extensive drinks menu with choice of lots of different sake and Japanese drinks (amongst usual beers, wines and cocktails). I was happy to see good Japanese whiskeys (Yamazaki, Hibiki etc) also. The chicken yakitori was excellent (and was the miso flavoured one- slightly more sweet if that's your thing). Chicken gyoza is also great- the ponzu sauce with it is meh so I had that with chilli oil instead. My ramen was really good (the shoyu tonkatsu one), and flavour was enhanced by chilli oil+ pepper powder. We didn't stay for dessert but were happy with the food, portion size and ambience overall. Wouldn't say it's the best Japanese restaurant, I've been to better ones in Amstelveen. But this was pretty good and nearby.
We felt like we were in Japan for the whole time because of the decorations, the manners and the nice bbq smell of the skewers. The ramen and skewers are just stunningly amazing and authentic. The menus for both drinks and foods are not too long so it was quite easy to choose. Although everything looks so simple, you could taste the harmonious creations created by the effort and the heart of the chefs.
The service is just excellent!
Amazing restaurant. They have a wide variety of authentic Japanese foods. We had many yakitori. Our favorite is the eel yakitori and the aubergine. We also had noodles, agedashi tofu, and other stuff. The yuzu drink is also great. The atmosphere makes us feel like in Japan. The service was great.
One of my favorite Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam! I really love the Buto Miso skewers, takoyaki and sashimi! The service was a bit slower this time, since it was busy and it looks like the have a shortage of staff. But overall really good!
